A panic disorder is a form of anxiety that can be characterized by sudden, repetitive episodes of extreme feelings of fear accompanied by physical symptoms that leave a person feeling terrified and in pain. Some of the physical symptoms associated with a panic disorder can include chest pain, heart palpitations, breathing issues, dizziness, confusion, or pains within the abdominal area.
These intense feelings of fear are not easily explained by a specific event. Instead, they tend to occur randomly, leaving one feeling confused and scared.
