  • Depression is a serious mental health condition that can leave a person struggling to feel motivated, find joy in life their days, find the energy to do everyday tasks, and overall ability to enjoy life. 
  • Depression can take on a wide variety of forms, including seasonal depression, postpartum depression, and clinical depression. 
  • The warning signs of depression include a lack of motivation, changes to eating and/or sleeping habits, loss of energy, negative thoughts and feelings, and a loss of interest in things one once enjoyed. 
  • Due to cultural and ethnic differences, depression can impact people of color in significantly different ways than it impacts white people.
