The more you understand what is triggering your anxiety, the better you will be able to prevent it. Everybody’s anxiety triggers are different, so it is essential to observe your own experiences with anxiety to understand what could be triggering it.
A few tips and tricks to help you identify your own anxiety triggers include:

  • Journaling. Journaling is an excellent way to observe your thinking patterns and the triggers behind your anxiety. Writing down your experience with anxiety can help you build a deeper understanding of what is causing it.
  • Talk to a mental health professional. A mental health professional can help you talk through your thoughts and your experiences with anxiety. They can guide you toward finding your triggers and may even be able to pinpoint the reason you are feeling anxious.
  • Observe your own thoughts. Consider the thoughts, behaviors, and situations you are in when you are feeling anxious. Try to observe each thought, behavior, and situation objectively. The more aware you become of your triggering thoughts, behaviors, and situations, the better you will be able to manage them.
